Movie Review: Harry Potter - GOF

OMG! We just watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire this evening at Filinvest. The movie ran for about 2.5 hours. All i can say is that it's bitin.

1. What happened to Hogwarts? I mean, the movie solely focused on the Tri-Wizard Tourney. Too many casts with very less exposure.

2. What's up with the friggin giant lady? I mean, maybe that's the reason why HP was rated PG13. Two giants flirting. Yikes!

3. Moaning Myrtle Moaning. Who would've thought that there's a sorta jacuzzi scene between Harry and Myrtle.

4. Short scenes. I thought that each challenge would last longer. It was good but i need some more adrenlin pumping action.

5. Suddenly, all of them matured especially Cedric and Hermione. And Ginny... And even the Weasley Twins. What more if they film the 7th installment?

6. The new Dumbledore is cooler than the original actor. Well, i prefer the more conservative Dumbledore.

7. Nose-Less Voldemort. I just can't imagine Ralph Fienes without his nose. He played the villain role better in The Red Dragon.

8. Fleur (wait, spell check, need to check the spelling) always screams, Victor Krum is like one of those Chicano kids waiting to beat you up, and Cho Chang... well... I'm not a Heart Evangelista fan, but she could do a better pa-cute acting than the one who was casted. But i guess Heart is to short to be paired with Cedric.

9. Where's Uncle Vernon and the family? Wala ng budget i guess.

10. The dance... it was nice seeing everyone wearing suits and gowns... Hermione is such a pretty girl... and so was Ron with his "Funeraria" inspired dress robe (available at any local funenaria stores, nationwide).

The movie was great. Actually, i forgot most of the chapters from the book (which is good, becasue i don;t want to over criticize the film adaptation).
