I embrace life. I am carefree but harmless. I am playful but serious. I am complacent but not indifferent. I am a bowl of contradictions, but that's the first thing that makes me interesting.

 Word for the day: NEW

We can learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull.
Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

Under The Reggae Moon

Jona, Gizelle, Trixy, Khanh and I went to Xaymaca last Friday. We were supposed to go to a big fish event but we decided to drop big fish and go to Xaymaca for some reggae dancing and to watch Brownman Revival gig. We arrived around 1030pm and the place was packed. Brownman Revival was already playing. We went to the bar to get our beer and the only way to get there was to cross the swimming-reggae-dancing-pot-smoking-dreadlocked-kids. Dancing our way is the only way to do it, while praying that we won’t get our hair burnt by cigarette (or doobie). After getting our beer, we decided to hangout outside the bar. Then I thought, we can actually reach the bar without even crossing the bar. Haha!

After a couple of minutes, we went inside and waited for the second set. At si Gizelle may kinalaibit! Hehehe… His name is Marlon from another reggae band Peace Pive (kidding… it’s actually Peace Five). Gizelle, Trixy and Jona were the first groupies for the Peace Five… specifically for Marlon! Wahahaha! After a couple more mintues, Brownman entered the stage and started playing. Jamir of Slapshock sang Bob Marley’s “Get up, Stand Up” with Brownman Revival. Then another guy (which belongs to another so-so reggae band) sang Waiting in Vain! And then it was all Brownman Revival songs from their album Steady Lang. I like “Under the Reggae Moon” and “Salarin.” And of course, “Maling Akala” which was originally played by E-Heads.

After dancing and sweating so much, we went outside. Gizelle was the first to give up, then Jona, then Khanh. Thank God that we have seats when we went outside.

We stayed until around 2am and decided to call it a night. As we were waiting for Valet to pick-up Trixy’s car, we had our picture taken with Jamir, picture drinking Taho, and another picture with Marlon (Peace Payb!).

Pasingit. I saw Chief in Xaymaca together with his girlfriend. I also saw an ROTC classmate and Hanni’s BF (or ex-BF?).

Actually, before we drove off QC, we went to the PBB house. It’s directly in front of ABS-CBN (literally, kapitbahay ni kuya ang ABS). The house looks small from the outside. We saw a group of guys. Kapatid daw sila ni Uma. Wahahaha! We had our pictures taken since the PBB house will be, in the future, a part of our history. Nice! J

We arrived at Ayala around 3am. I arrived at our place around 3:30am.

Under the reggae moon, dadalhin kita doon!
