I embrace life. I am carefree but harmless. I am playful but serious. I am complacent but not indifferent. I am a bowl of contradictions, but that's the first thing that makes me interesting.

 Word for the day: NEW

We can learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull.
Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

Roll Bounce and Goal

During my unproductive weekend, i watched Roll Bounce and Goal on DVD (i don't have any problems about piracy).

Let's start with GOAL! First of all, i don't know anything much about soccer/football. When i was in college, my friends go gaga over it. So what's with kicking the ball from one end to the other. Ha! But after watching the movie, i wish i know how to play football (i prefer the english term rather than the US term for kicking the ball). GOAL has the same recipe of any sports-enduced movie: a striving young athlete want to make it big and fulfill his dream. Nothing new right? But movies about sports is all about the game. The plays, the slow motion clips when Santiago Munez kicks the ball, the crowd going gaga over a goal. Downright suspense! Now, what i need to do is to buy myself a pair of nice studs and practice my kicks! GOAL stars Juno Becker and a lot of English actors with a cameo of David Beckham. You can learn more about the movie by going to the movie website: http://www.bvimovies.com/uk/goal/main.html . By the way, there's Goal 2 and Goal 3. Goal Trilogy... hehehe! So will there be a prequel?

Roll Bounce is from Fox Searchlight production. It's about roller skates and dancing on it. A group of kids who went to a new skating rink and joining the skate off competition. Yeah, same recipe foes to this type of movies like You Got Served. What's funny is that at the end, there's an actual Face-off due to a tie decision. But this movie is worth watching, seeing dancing people in skates. Ha! Now i have to buy roller blades.

Playing football on roller blades? Nice!

This week, I'm planning to watch Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maxi. Not because Jessica Zafra emailed me (yes she did, and so i thought she will not respond to one of her fans... i love zafra!). Maxi seems to be an interesting movie, and i love watching indie movies and international movies (Y Tu Mama Tambien, Playing God, Motorcycle Diaries, A Very Long Engagement, etc.). Then there's Just Like Heaven and Prime.

By the way, i had my hair dyed because of boredom. Wait, i had my blonde highlights. Wahahaha! Kool-Aid strikes again!
